Columbus Metropolitan Library: Canal Winchester Branch

Project: Interactive Wall

Location: Canal Winchester, OH

Installed: December 2025

When the Columbus Metropolitan Library set out to make their new Canal Winchester Branch a true community destination, they needed something special for their early learning space — so they called Boss Display. Our team designed and fabricated a 20-foot freestanding double-sided interactive wall that gives kids a place to touch, build, and explore from the moment they walk in. Playful natural graphics feature animals native to the area, while hands-on elements — a custom acrylic peg board, a Duplo building wall, and a magnetic activity wall — keep young guests engaged and coming back for more. Tucked into the structure is a crawl-through tunnel with display nooks above, making the wall as functional as it is fun. From concept to installation, Boss Display engineered every detail of this one-of-a-kind piece to bring joy, imagination, and a little bit of wonder to families for years to come.

The magnetic wall portion encourages guests to experiment with various pathways as they contruct ramps and tubes.

The flower bush draws guests in as they create and plant their own floral creations.

Spinning the rotating double-sided color wheel, visitors can explore color theory as they work together.

Overhead weather clouds display 2 different weather patterns that can be observed.

The crawl-through tunnel gives users a unique way to explore the backside of the wall.

The 20 foot wall is completely freestanding and serves as the centerpiece for the children’s area.

Local wildlife graphics can be found mounted around the wall.
