Hutchinson YMCA

The Greater Wichita YMCA and Cosmosphere partnered with Boss Display to bring a space-themed climbing structure to the new Hutchinson YMCA, now open and set prominently in the Family Center. Boss shaped the exhibit's fully customized design, drawing on Cosmosphere's focus on space exploration to give kids a mix of physical activity and STEM discovery in one experience. It's a partnership rooted in shared goals: youth development, family engagement, and community wellness for Hutchinson-area families.

The top platform of the climbing structure encourages guests to interact with visitors on the second story of the gallery.

The multi-story climbing structure is the centerpiece that anchors the gallery.

The custom design of the climber allows the climber to perfect sit into the space and maximize the “wow” factor as you walk into the space.

Softplay craters serve as accent interactives to the space-themed gallery.

Each entry point is carefully designed and resembles planets in motion - furthering the hands-on space theming.
