The DoSeum
Project: Ball Area
Location: San Antonio, TX
Installed: June 2015
Within the ball area at The DoSeum, visitors can track the play balls as they go through different pathways and obstacles. Using the ball launcher, guests can aim at the various musical instrument targets making sounds as they succeed in hitting them. Two interactive ball walls allow visitors to manipulate the pathway of the balls and watch how each reacts differently on its pathway to the exit. At the Bernoulli cabinet, users can experiment with the forces of airflow and gravity. With the help of various ball blowers around the room, balls can be sent into the ball drop. When enough balls accumulate, the hopper opens up and the balls cascade down on visitors standing below.
