The Dream Factory

The Dream Factory, an organization dedicated to helping families with critically sick children, wanted something special for their new location. Boss Display worked closely with the team to design the Dream Machine — a series of interactive stations where young guests write down a dream, then watch it travel through the building via a network of overhead tubes. At each station along the way, guests can interact with the dreams passing through, following them from start to finish.

The central kiosk is the starting point for the dreams to enter the tube system. A whole host of buttons can be pressed in combination to launch the dreams.

As guests crank the handle of the gear wall, each gear lights up in order. After all of the gears are illuminated, the door opens, sending the dream to the next station.

The final step in the process is the keyhole dial, where visitors insert the key and as it is rotated, lights begin to flash releasing the dream back to the central kiosk.

The star lever lets visitors turm the oversized leverl to allow the dream ball to pass through to the next exhibit.
